Barack Obama made a stop in Sioux Falls today. Lara and I switched shooting positions from last week so I ended up with slightly more interesting photos this time.

After a little incident with a crabby landlord Monday I had to move my brewing operation to a friend’s house today to try again. Considering it was my first try at all-grain beer I think it went pretty well. Temperature and gravity measurements were within a few points of my targets and the new equipment worked flawlessly, we’ll see in a few months how it tastes.

Hillary Clinton made a brief campaign stop in Sioux Falls today. Lara Neel and I covered it as a team, It’s always nice to have another photographer at an event to get a different angle. Unfortunately I was stuck on the main media riser while she got to shoot from the side and move around a little which made for much more interesting photos.

I had to photograph a pseudo red carpet event tonight, which is certainly not my idea of a fun assignment. While it won’t work for the paper, I thought this was pretty funny.
