February 6th, 2010New brew stand is finally operational. Still need to buy a pump to eliminate pouring boiling liquids at chest height but I brewed my first batches on it today and it works great.

You know it’s cold when your breath freezes on the outside of your face mask and covers the back of your camera with a layer of ice. Today’s high was around -7F and the official low last night was -30F, that is wicked cold.
One of the most disgusting things I have ever attempted to eat: Hot Dog Melt: $4.99, which consists of a hot dog, turkey, bacon and cheese wrapped in a tortilla shell and deep fried at BG’s Cakes-N-More at the Empire Mall Food Court. I only ordered it because I had to photograph it for a dining review and after 2 bites I gave up as a pool of grease covered the plate.
